Last day of February today. Neptune apogee Moon max decl. and todays planetary alignments are as shown below: Note that Saturn Mercury Sun Venus is within 2 degrees the rest of the alignments 1 degree. This alignment will last to the 3rd February during which we will see some interesting shakes. Stay cool be safe.

Daily Earthquake Report for 12th February 2015
Good Day!Just a quick look on the Feb 2015 Global Predictions chart we can see that a 6R is expected tomorrow. (as usual +- a day). We can see there is a sharp rise of the bar indicating high probability. I will repeat that the earthquake levels are overall LOW so far for January and February. I expect this to change as we approach the end of the year, hence the intensity of the earthquakes to rise a bit. Time will tell. So Tomorrow I expect a 6R. The planetary alignment for tomorrow is shown below.
We can see we will have the earth-venus-Mars all aligned.
The regions however where there maybe increased activity seem to me to be 1) PNG Eastern tip. 2)Mexico-CA border-Gulf 3) Near Iraq-Irn border South. Note that there is a build up of stresses on the NZ region too but they may not be released yet. Oh well hope this helps. Stay cool and Be Safe.

Todays Solar Activity
INFO FROM SIDC - RWC BELGIUM 2015 Feb 06 12:28:38 Solar activity was low, with only a couple of isolated low level C flares. The strongest one originated from NOAA region 2280 (Catania 82) peaking at 10:17 UT at C1.4 level only. A new spotted region started to appear near S10W45. We expect some further C flaring, mainly from NOAA regions 2277 and 2280. Incomplete SOHO LASCO coronagraph data so far seem to indicate that the filament eruptions of February 4 did not result in Earth directed CMEs.Solar wind conditions showed a sector boundary crossing with the magnetic field phi angle completing the shift which was started in the previous reporting period and settling on a firmly positive value during the present reporting period. Associated with this shift the total magnetic field increased from levels around 3.5 nT to values in the 6-8 nT range. Bz was variable with negative peaks down to -6.4 nT. Solar wind speed remained in the 400 to 450 km/s range. Geomagnetic conditions were quiet to active (both NOAA Kp and local K Dourbes 1-4), with the active period associated to the sector boundary crossing. Similar solar wind conditions are expected to persist, with associated quiet to unsettled geomagnetic conditions.

SUN SPOTS - EARTHQUAKE LINK
Some posts back I did mention that 2014 has been a year where the average earthquake magnitude was lower than before. It has been shown that when the sunspot numbers modulate the earthquakes. In the figure below it is shown that the expected sunspot numbers to drop ober 2015 and beyond. What does that mean? It means that we should see stronger and stronger earthquakes as the year goes by. See http://sunspotwatch.com/ and http://solarscience.msfc.nasa.gov/SunspotCycle.shtml
