17 February 2014

As it was predicted the intensity of the earthquakes in Kefalonia is tapering down and gradually smaller and smaller shakes occur....The dates where we may get some more, are: 17th 22nd 25th February and 1st March...

For the New Zealand Region the sensitive dates according to my estimations ...18th Feb, 23rd Feb and 28th Feb 2014.

7 February 2014

For the island of Rhodes, (see previous post for cell dimensions) we could have two possible dates for an earthquake  February 10th and 25th.

I will be trying to post predicted events for RHODES in due course, apart from the Greek region overall, I will focus on the following areas,....Ionian islands, Crete, Rhodes and Attica....

For the New Zealand Region as per post of 3rd February below, I see that the 10th/11th February is the next probable date according to my calculations for an earthquake....(about 6R)

6 February 2014

For the region of Attica, you tend to get a couple of 4-4.4R earthquakes every year....
This year we could ger also the same. In February I get February 11-13th as a possible good candidate date....time will tell.....

3 February 2014

May I dare say that I expect an earthquake in the New Zealand region at around 6.0R on the 5th February.....This means 48S<lat<34.5S  and 160E <Long < 176.9W.... This is a test of spotting the place as well as time.??? Lets see if I am right....

Due to the increasing interest and activity in the Ionian Sea part of Greece, I have done some localized calculations for the region 37.5<latitude N<38.6 and 19.8<longitude E<21.5.  It is inevitable to get over February an increasing number of aftershocks and therefore one must not panic and show calm. There will be a lot of smaller earthquakes as it is evident today, and I count so far 4 earthquakes of magnitude >4R already after the 6R of 03:08 hours GMT.
So keep calm and do the safety drill as I am sure the local authorities have advised you .
So what do my calculations show then?
Nearly every day until the 8th February we could see a smaller earthquake.
High probability dates I see the following.....
8th, 11th, 13th, 16th, 21st February, and 1st March. In all cases >4R.
I have now a picture for the whole year, but I will post on monthly basis as I update my results....
